Minnesota Tribes Take Up Governor's Offer

MINNESOTA – As reported by the Thoroughbred Times: "Three Indian tribes have taken Governor Tim Pawlenty up on his offer to allow a new casino in the state if revenue is split with the state, and the new casino could be combined with the racino at Canterbury Park in Shakopee, Minnesota, southwest of the Twin Cities.

"Senate Minority Leader Dick Day (R-Owatonna) has long endorsed expanded gaming at Canterbury, and he would like to see Senator Keith Langseth (D-Glyndon) sponsor the casino bill because Langseth supports combining the tribal casino with the Canterbury Park racino, which includes live racing and a card room…"
